An Atelier Berlin look photographed against concrete

Two maisons

One discipline, told in two voices

Atelier is our hand-finished line — leather, merino and carbon, made slowly and numbered. Studio Nord is the technical counterpoint: bonded seams, weatherproof shells and quiet performance for the city.

Both are made within a few streets of each other in Friedrichshain, and both answer to the same idea — that the things you move in should be as considered as the things you keep.

The film

We design for the body in motion first and the mirror second. Every seam, sole and panel is tested at pace — on the track, the road and the studio floor — long before it reaches the shelf.

The Meridian Runner is the most considered trainer I have ever owned. The numbered card inside felt like buying art, not sportswear. Staff in Friedrichshain were unhurried and genuinely knowledgeable.

Bought the Mistral Shell before a wet week in Berlin. Bone dry, beautifully cut, and it does not look like a piece of gym kit. This is what technical clothing should aspire to.

Stunning store and the Atlas legging is excellent. One star off only because my size sold out quickly — clearly I am not the only one who found this place. Will be back for the restock.

Studio Nord track jacket is flawless. The matte twill and bonded seams put pieces twice the price to shame. Felt looked-after the entire visit without ever being hovered over.

A rare shop that treats movement as something elegant. The cork yoga mat is gorgeous and the gift wrapping was immaculate. The whole experience feels like a gallery you can wear.

Came for shoes, left with the Cirrus hoodie too. Everything is restrained and quietly excellent. Prices are serious, but so is the make. Easily the best sportswear in the city.
